The release was one of the highlights of the Army-2024 forum and garnered significant attention from potential foreign clients, according to the company.
The presentation of the Lancet-E marks the beginning of its promotion in the global arms market by Rosoboronexport. The drone, which stands out for its X-shaped wings, has already gained notoriety among weapons experts due to its high battlefield efficiency, maneuverability, noise immunity, and ability to precisely target a wide range of ground and surface targets.
The name “Lancet” refers to a surgical instrument with a double-edged blade, reflecting the drone’s precision. The targets already destroyed by the Lancet include a wide range of Western military equipment, such as Leopard tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, Stryker armored vehicles, M777 artillery systems, Krab self-propelled guns, PzH 2000, M109 Paladin, as well as air defense and electronic warfare systems, aircraft, and warehouses.
The use of war footage to promote military equipment is not a new strategy for Rosoboronexport, which has previously used the conflict in Ukraine to highlight other products, such as the Iskander-M missiles and the Tor-M2 air defense systems.
